BREAKING CHAINS

BREAKING CHAINS

Recently I had to make an unexpected move. I moved back in with family for a season. I have had a profession for over 30 yrs that required me being on my feet all day and I need to have surgery and recover financially.

It was a really hard move. All kinds of things were going through my head. One of which was feeling a failure for not being able to pay my bills. The Lord in his sweetness said this to me. His words changed my entire perspective. He said “unless you move you don’t realize the chains are there”

I am a very visual thinker so I immediately pictured a person standing with a chain around their ankle and understood that if you have a chain and stand still then you will never know you are bound by it. You have to MOVE to be aware of the chains presence.

You can speak the word all day long commanding those chains to go away or be broken but you have to MOVE. You have to put some action with those words. To get where you are going you must first be aware of where you are at.

You must have your eyes opened to SEE the obstacles and even people that are holding you back. Most of the time it’s not anything on the outside that is holding you back but your own perspective and mindset regarding those things or people.

Sometimes MOVEMENT is what you need to HEAL. This is true physically as well. For me putting my stuff in storage after giving away and throwing away what I didn’t need was so LIBERATING!! So FREEING!

What you give away ALWAYS comes back to you MULTIPLIED. You have to let go of the old to make room for the new. This is an age old principle of TRUTH. You cannot hold both and move forward. So much of what we DO on the outside is a reflection of what is happening inside.

I was so attached to all my stuff and didn’t even see it. The moment I made the choice to make this change I immediately leveled up to a new place of freedom.

In the past I feel I would have succombed to dark thoughts of feeling a burden or not being enough and I am thanking GOD today that I no longer think or feel this way! I KNOW I bring value anywhere I go and my number one goal is to BE a blessing for others. I want to leave every place I visit or stay better off then when I arrived. This can be done and it’s been a beautiful journey.

As your soul prospers your finances will soon follow. This is another principle. God wants us to do well. He wants us to work hard and be good stewards however it’s NOT his will that we become slave to any of it. He came so we could have an abundant full life in every area. Don’t be afraid to follow his lead! He knows the way! He gives advanced strategies. I am so thankful to be getting braver. Perfection is never a requirement but it does feel so good to get in the flow of his grace and will.

In 3 John 2, the Apostle John says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” John has a lot to say in this passage, and I would like to cover the topic of a prosperous and healthy soul.

Big changes and transition can be so uncomfortable and scary but we have the promise of peace! This truth has always brought comfort to my heart. "If you can't trust the hand of God you can trust his heart". He loves you.

WE have The Promise of Peace! Even in the midst of circumstances we don't understand. HIS PEACE surpasses understanding. Phil. 4:7

In the midst of life's storms, finding peace can seem like an elusive dream. In times of uncertainty, when the world feels like it's spinning out of control, we long for a sense of calmness and stability. But where can we find such peace? Is it even possible?

The answer lies in the promises of God's Word. Throughout the Bible, we find assurances of peace that transcend our understanding and circumstances. One such promise is found in Philippians 4:6-7, where the apostle Paul writes, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This verse reminds us that we don't have to carry the weight of our worries alone. We can bring them to God in prayer, trusting that He will provide peace that surpasses our understanding. This peace isn't dependent on our circumstances but on the character of God Himself.

Another comforting promise is found in Isaiah 26:3, which says, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you." Here, we see that peace is not just a temporary reprieve from trouble but a constant state of being for those who trust in the Lord wholeheartedly.

But how do we cultivate this steadfast trust in God? How do we maintain peace when everything around us is falling apart? The answer lies in cultivating a deep and intimate relationship with Him through prayer, meditation on His Word, and surrendering our worries and fears to Him.

Jesus Himself offers us peace in John 14:27, saying, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." This peace that Jesus offers is not dependent on external circumstances but flows from His presence within us.

In times of uncertainty, let us cling to these promises of peace found in God's Word. Let us anchor our hearts in the unchanging truth that He is with us, guiding us, and sustaining us through every storm. As we trust in Him, may His peace reign in our hearts and minds, bringing comfort and assurance in the midst of life's uncertainties.

In uncertain times we cling to the CHAIN BREAKER!
